To follow up on a recent blog entry below, we have learned that Clark County filed a motion in federal court on January 9 seeking a clarification of the court's December 28, 2011, order requiring the County to withhold all "permits and authorizations" for projects until Clark County can determine whether the projects comply with Ecology's stringent stormwater standards . . . read more

In 2009, Clark County adopted a new stormwater ordinance that contains alternative standards to those contained in the Department of Ecology's Phase I Stormwater General Permit. These alternative standards are viewed as less onerous on owners and developers than the Ecology standards . . .
